Nigel Sawyer

Having worked in the NHS for over 37 years I retired at the end of January 2019 (having worked initially in Microbiology labs and then looking after Pathology and Radiology computer systems) in order to spend more time travelling and to do more photography.  My favourite countries include Mexico and Turkey both being good for all wildlife and historical sites, Ethiopia for birds, Kenya for safaris and Ghana for butterflies. Covid may have curtailed the travel but I still spend a lot of time taking macro shots (insects, flowers and fungi), a few landscapes and a lot of bird and other wildlife photography.  Having retired I discovered snorkelling and therefore tried some underwater photography and cannot wait to get back to the Coral Triangle (around Papua New Guinea).   More of my photography can be found at:
