Katohorites note came and brought gold coins and bought everything they could find, even flour with the grain husks in. And we gave them things so that they would survive, not die. How many passed by Olympos to find food!! And even now, people who survived say “We survived because of the Olymbites.” But in the bad times there were some people who did not behave properly to the people in the south, profiteers.

Only once I sold bread and flour to a woman from the Kato Horia because she came and begged and wept. And I pitied her. And all I got was an empty sack which I needed to carry the flour from the mill. I wish what I did will be good for the soul of my mother and sister. Of olive oil also, the Katohorites had none and Olympos had few olives, but, because all the men were here and could not go abroad to work, they planted many olive trees which still thrive today.
